Proverbs 10:24-26

International Standard Version

²⁴What the wicked fears will come about,
but the longing of the righteous will be granted.

²⁵When the storm ends, the wicked vanish,^[a]
but the righteous person is forever firm.

²⁶As vinegar is to the mouth^[b] and smoke to the eyes,
so is the lazy person to those who send him.
